A good tip to learn a language? Expand it!
Many courses, good courses, give students
communication methods for different situations, but don’t stimulate them to
expand that language.
Example: if your topic is Opposing Adjectives,
like heavy and light, try making this way:
Heavy: pesado as a brick: tijolo;
Light: leve as cotton: algodão;
This is how you connect ideas, vocabulary and
expand your language!
Try now with asking people’s opinion. What’s
the question you think to use in English when asking for opinions? What’s your
opinion? Just that?
