Basic Rules

We never use an adverb between the verb and the object. Example: We often play basketball/ We play often basketball (wrong).

If there’s more than one adverb in a sentence, the order is normally MANNER, PLACE, TIME.

Peter sang the song happily in the bathroom yesterday evening.

Good tip is to read aloud the sentence after you write it. If it sounds weird for you, there’s probably a mistake on positioning.
